Carlo Amerio is the director of CA Architects. Carlo is a highly responsive and effective project director. Overseeing all CA Architects projects, he ensures the design and review role on all projects is optimised.
Carlo has practiced as an architect since 1984, and established the Cairns based CA Architects in 1993. He has a wide range of experience in many building types and it ish is personality and commitment to quality design and complete client satisfaction that defines CA Architects.
Carlo has a plethora of masterplanning, residential and commercial mixed use experience.
ARCHITECT AIA & URBAN PLANNER
Gisela is a qualified Architect and Urban Planner who joined CA Architects in 2003. She is passionate about urban planning and design, and is focused on how residential, commercial and retail spaces can combine to create the very best urban environments. As one of CA Architects leading architects, her experience includes mixed-use institutional buildings,residential and commercial projects, as well as integrated resort and township master planning & urban design. She is the key to the ESD strategy and performance on CA Architects projects. As a Green Star Accredited Professional she has successfully achieved ESD outcomes through the Conics Building, and the State Government Office building William McCormack Place Stage 2
Mark joined CA Architects in 2014. Mark is committed to designing and detailing buildings that respond to the client’s needs and the local environment. He has experience in a variety of project types, including commercial, education, health, community and residential buildings.
Since joining CA Architects in 2014, John has been involved in a diverse range or projects of varying scale across a range of typologies in both architecture and urban design. His passion for delivering high quality architecture has successfully contributed to hospitality, commercial, multi residential, hotel, and urban design projects. John enjoys the challenge of innovative and unique design and is passionate and committed to delivering high quality outcomes. His overall project experience provides a sound knowledge of project processes, and his dynamic skill set is highly applicable to any project.
Chris joined CA Architects in 2016. His project experience has focused on hospitality, corporate and residential projects through all phases of design, documentation & administration. Chris’s meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness in the development of conceptual designs into buildable and creative design solutions, allows for resolving complex design issues at an early phase of the Architectural process.
ARCHITECT (UK)/ PROJECT LEADER
Roy joined CA Architects in February 2017, having spent six years with an international architectural practice working on a variety of projects in PNG and Australia. He brings over 20 years’ experience and has a strong background working on complex healthcare projects. His experience covers a broad range of projects, including all project stages from schematic design to completion on site, he has been responsible for coordinating consultants information and responding to contractors during the construction period.
Tarran joined CA Architects in February 2015 after completing a Masters of Architecture at the University of Adelaide. During his studies, Tarran gained experience in commercial and residential architecture, with an emphasis towards parametric generative design. Since working at CA Architects, Tarran has worked on a variety of projects including residential and cultural developments.
Tim Hamilton recently joined CA Architects in 2017. Tim graduate from QUT Brisbane, with a Masters in architectural design and gained over 3 years of experience in multi-residential design prior to joining CA Architects. Tim has a passion for creating “liveable spaces”. He strives to gain a deep understanding of the role of architecture and urban design and the relationship between people, landscape and climate in our subtropical environment.
Christl joined CA Architects 2014. With 10 years’ experience in the FNQ region she brings to the team a solid understanding of design and documentation in the tropical regional Australia. Christl is currently involved in a number of projects ranging from renovations, housing and commercial developments in all project phases.
SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON
With 19 years drafting experience, Brents expertise provides comprehensive and appropriate documentation qualities with good communication skills over a wide variety of projects. Projects range from Aged Care and Health, Education and Sports and recreation. Brent enjoys the challenge that comes with beginning a new project from initial client consultation, design, construction and handover.
SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGNER
Tony joined CA Architects in July 2008. His sound documentation skills comes from 30 years working at construction and detailing in Melbourne. He has worked on a number of fit-out projects for Queensland Transport, various schools for Building the Education Revolution. In Victoria, projects included military. healthcare clinics and accommodation; and production of individual homes and multi-unit housing.
Sheree joined CA Architects in February 2015. With over 15 year of experience working in administrative roles, she brings an extensive understanding of office culture and responsibilities. At CA Architects, Sheree is responsible for front of house operations, providing administrative assistance to the director and CA Architects team, and quality assurance control.
DIRECTOR AND OFFICE MANAGER
Wendy has been at CA Architects since its establishment in 1993. As a director of the company, Wendy oversees all office administrative duties including accounts and office management.
BUILDING DESIGN STUDENT
Brodie joined CA Architects in 2017. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Building Design Central Queensland University.
