Savannah Lifestyle Resort

Savannah Lifestyle Resort, located on the tablelands of Mareeba, includes 170 homes built to 9 different architectural designs. All are carefully positioned to offer privacy as well as street presence.

The majority of the houses are on rectangular sites designed with terraces addressing the street and the garage facing a service lane so the main street frontage presents an attractive garden with no concrete driveways. The square sites are on the perimeter of the development and these homes have been designed with car access from the street and terraces addressing the backyard which take advantage of the 3 metre landscape easement.

The houses have been designed with hipped roofs, solid walls and feature light weight elements to reflect the architectural vernacular of the region. The administration and community centre buildings reflect a contemporary homestead with the use of perimeter verandas and a high, hipped roof focus. The covered walkway links the various facility buildings and creates an identifiable entrance to the complex.

The community centre is the central focus of the Resort and includes a large ballroom, recreation and dining facilities, cinema, gymnasium, BBQ, Tepanyaki, pool and activity area as well as back of house management facilities.
