Coupled with a high-end cabin resort or short-term luxury accommodation, a wave park will create a destination for tourists and locals alike and greatly complement the major tourism industry in Far North Queensland, Australia has to offer, making this proposed development one of great significance to the economy.

In 2018 CA Architects researched various wave park offers around the world and created a development proposal that would be suitable to attract interest from the government or the private sector.
